Just wanted to give you all a quick preview of what’s next.
Lords of the North: 410-600
This upcoming article will take a comprehensive look at the Coeling dynasty of the Brythonic Heroic Age. Explanation of sources and some methodology, while trying to create a cohesive narrative out of what little we have. Currently at 6k words, this will be a long one.
Deep Antiquity within Arthuriana
A touchy topic for some, looking at some common tropes in Arthuriana that have deeper roots, as well as some that at first glance seem to have ancient origins, but in fact do not. The Grail, Excalibur, Lancelot, and others are all on the table here for examination.
Caer Greu
A re-illustrated and re-written update to my first foray into short fiction, following Peredur and Gwrgi of Ebrauc’s death at the disastrous Battle of Catraeth.
Other Projects
I am working on a sort of ‘Hen Ogledd’ Encyclopedia, featuring many figures, places, and concepts of the Old North, with each entry being roughly two pages, one illustration and one page of description. I am working to complete this as fast as possible, and hope to have it done by Christmas.
I am still working on my first major book ‘The Brythonic Heroic Age: The Coeling’, currently roughly 250 pages, I have rewritten large portions of it as I have made new discoveries and tweaked my conclusions over the last few years. No ETA, it will be done when it is done.
Many friends from twitter have asked for prints of some of the art I have used in images etc. I’m currently working on getting a store created to sell some of these using a print-on-demand service, I will probably feature a few other products as well.
I am toying with the idea of releasing a follow up to my Coloring Book as well if there is interest.
As always, very grateful for all of you, y’all make this all worthwhile.
All very welcome; especially the first and the book. Sources and method are very important when dealing with topics that are dismissed as implausible with at best a quick scan. Ironically you are in much the same position as the Angle charging Arthur uphill!
