That is really good. I wonder what your thoughts might be on Y Gododdin....

Thank you! I discuss Y Gododdin quite a bit in a few different articles. One of my favorites to write was this one in particular, https://www.arthwys.com/p/coelings-in-y-gododdin.

Another one looking at the 'Urien as victor' interpretation is here, https://www.arthwys.com/p/a-look-at-catraeth.

I am planning on revisiting Catraeth and Y Gododdin in an article in the future, with some updated findings/interpretation, but the conclusions are roughly the same.

Can you imagine seeing such a battle with such a mighty host and King. This is why this is one of my favorite periods of history, Brythonic Kings, Saxon warriors, Norse legends, invaiding Vandal kings, Eastern Rome’s reconquests, all sung by poets and recorded by writers. It’s quite fascinating how so much could happen together. Such a Great read thank you.

Thank you for the kind words. I'll be doing some of the poems to Guallauc of Elmet in a similar style.

It's such an amazing period, even with all the gaps we have to fill in with informed guesses. This unfortunately as far as the Hen Ogledd goes makes it rather Coeling centric, as they are the bulk of figures we get references too, but there are still cases to be made for the men of Alt Clut, the Gododdin, and the Picts!
